Lighted, Wall And Vanity Mirrors - Secret Weapon In Room Design

Whether you choose to open up your space with a vanity wall mirror or incorporate lights to the design, vanity mirrors may be just the ticket in decorating your difficult bathroom.  Mirrors are an excellent way to reflect light and space in order to make the room seem larger by tricking the eye.  Most vanities have matching mirrors so that your design can encompass all decorative elements.

There are different mirrors for different purposes, so evaluate the uses of your bathroom before you begin decorating.  Most women choose to put on their makeup in their bathroom, and a lighted vanity mirror will serve a functional and a design purpose. A vanity make up mirror may be mounted on the wall or stand alone.  Also, look to a magnifying vanity makeup mirror to provide an up-close look or an adjustable mirror that can be moved easily.  Create a romantic look by setting up a vanity table with mirror and a cushion topped stool to provide you a special place for applying makeup or just resting after a long day.

Another way to use a mirror in an unique manner is to mount the lighting choice directly on the mirror.  Use mirrored tiles to cover the hardware and prepare to be amazed at the amount of light is reflected by the shiny surface.  This is great for a small space that may need extra light.

When choosing a mirror to decorate your space, consider continuing with a theme.  For example, pair an antique iron mirrors with a hand painted French country vanity.  Mix opposing themes and create an eclectic feel by using a Venetian glass mirror with a sleek modern vanity.  For a more traditional look, use a brass mirror in coordination with other brass accents, such as the towel ring or faucet.

There are many different choices in shapes of mirrors, each one with a different consideration.  Look to the shape and style of your vanity, sink, and even the room itself before choosing a mirror.  Continue a fluid plan by using a round or oval mirror, while a more structured style needs a geometric mirror with substance and form.
